I'll never forget saying hello to Marilyn McCoo the day we appeared on Solid Gold. I reminded her that I had met her in 1968 when my father was playing bass for the 5th Dimension and I was at the concert in San Diego. I was 6 years old and I was in a cab ready to go to the airport WITH the 5th Dimension. I remember how pretty I thought Marilyn and Florence were even at 6 years old! Marilyn and I had a great laugh that day on Solid Gold. She remembered. This was a great experience for me. My first time on national t.v. Another boost for me was Arsenio whom I had known as well from my mother who had helped him when he got to L.A. at the beginning of his career. He was looking for me the day we showed up for this performance and when he found me he was beaming. He said, "Man, I'm so proud of you." I had a lot of support that day. When I look back on this video it takes me back to a wonderful time in my life when it was changing so rapidly. Little did I know that song would have been as successful as it became. It turned into one of Chicago's biggest hits and I'm very proud to have been a part of it. Enjoy...

Keane was a band that featured brothers Tom (keys/vox) and John Keane (drums), Mark Moulin (guitar) & a 20 year old Jason Scheff (bass). Tom would later co-write Chicago's smash hit "Will You Still Love Me". That song was the first hit to feature Chicago's new bassist/vocalist Jason Scheff. John Keane played drums on all, but one song on 1991's 'Chicago Twenty-1'. "Ready Tonight" is from the 1982 album 'Keane- Today, Tomorrow & Tonight'. Jason Scheff is wearing the yellow shirt. Enjoy!

This is her only recording if we don't take in account that she was recorded live in 1901 on the stage of the Metropolitan Opera house, recordings made from the wing by the famous Lionel Mapleson on Edison cylinders. One hears a tiny little sound against the background of enormous surface noice. Imagine a train passing by and a singer who sings at the other side of the railroad. Fritzi Scheff (August 30, 1879 -- April 8, 1954) was an American actress and vocalist. Born in Vienna, Austria, she studied at Hoch's Conservatoire at Frankfort and made her début at Munich in the title röle of Martha (1898). In 1901 she first appeared at the Metropolitan Opera House, New York, singing parts in La Bohème, Die Meistersinger, Die Walküre, and Don Giovanni. She sang in the opera Babette at Washington and New York (1903), had an immense success as Fifi in Mlle. Modiste (1905-1908 and 1913) and appeared also in The Prima Donna (1908), The Mikado (1910), The Duchess (1911), and The Love Wager (1912). Later she sang in vaudeville. She married, first, Baron Fritz von Bardeleben, then John Fox, Jr., and, in 1912, John Anderson, an actor. Picture of Fritzi in her car in 1913

Lauren Scheff's Deep 6 Holiday - Cardboard Cyndi Deep Six Holiday (Scheff, Everett & Bailey) Like the night before someone said I could leave and I could have it on my own I'm a spinning fan in the ground And I am dying like the weeds in my backyard I've had enough of cardboard Cindy Is it enough... for everyone to see Remember me when I'm gone Remember me when you're wrong Remember me on my Deep 6 Holiday Bring your mescaline tea, set the table for two I'll be waiting on my Deep 6 Holiday I feel like a licorice garden reef On a Deep 6 Holiday I'm a stupid fish from the moon and I am hanging from the belt tied to my door Jerry's in a van, on a chair cross legged like a man without a care I've had enough of cardboard Cindy Is it enough... for everyone to see Remember me when I'm gone Remember me when you're wrong Remember me on my Deep 6 Holiday Bring your mescaline tea, set the table for two I'll be waiting on my Deep 6 Holiday I feel like a licorice garden reef On a Deep 6 Holiday You will not erase, the memory of my face Everything you see, will turn right into ... me... Remember me when I'm gone Remember me when you're wrong Remember me on my Deep 6 Holiday Bring your mescaline tea, set the table for two I'll be waiting on my Deep 6 Holiday I feel like a licorice garden reef On a Deep 6 Holiday I'm a spring in a jar, just a ribbon run dry Drinking wine on my Deep 6 Holiday Who will take you away from me And I keep drowning in my neighbors pool I feel like a licorice garden reef On a Deep 6 Holiday

This song appears on Chicago's latest album Chicago XXX. To my knowledge this is the only time this song has been performed live. It was written by Jason Scheff, Dennis Matkosky, and Greg Barnhill. Jason Scheff of Chicago did a Special In The Round show at the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, TN on March 23, 2007 with Dennis Matkosky, Greg Barnhill, and Leigh Nash of Sixpence None The Richer. That's Jason singing lead, Dennis on the keyboard to the right, and the top of Greg's head at the bottom of the screen. "Heart Of Mine" was made famous by Boz Scaggs, but it was written by Bobby Caldwell, Dennis Matkosky, and Jason Scheff - who would go on to join the group Chicago. Before he joined the band he had a publishing deal, and this song got him noticed by Chicago.
