NOTE: I did not make this video. It is the video produced by the architectural firm behind this building. -- David Fisher's company 'Dynamic Architecture' have developed a moving skyscraper! The building will be made up of 80 floors, with an apartment on each floor. The rotating building is made possible by 79 giant power-generating wind turbines. As well as the rotation, the wind turbines will also provide enough energy to power the entire building and feed extra energy back into the grid. There are two buildings planned at the moment. One in Dubai and one in Moscow. The Dubai building is planned to be up and running by 2010. http://www.dynamicarchitecture.net http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/7472722.stm

This is a short compilation clip of some of the accidents that take place in Dubai on a daily basis. Hope the local government can do something to stop morons from trying to squeeze between two cars at breakneck speed on a highway! (You'll see what I mean when you watch the video!)

Has the construction boom in Dubai gone too far? Old timers fear the place is losing its authenticity as ski domes and shopping complexes replace pristine desert. Dubai may be one of the hottest, driest places on earth but inside the new ski dome it's snowing. Despite having no natural water supply, Dubai manages to use more water per capita than anywhere else. Not everyone is pleased by the construction boom. "The city doesn't look the way it used to for our generation," complains one man. "We don't have a sense of belonging."
