English Grammar - Adjective & Adverb
Author: Admin01 8th, 2009

In grammar, an adjective is a word whose main syntactic role is to modify a noun or pronoun, giving more information about what the noun or pronoun refers to. Adverbs typically answer 3 questions such as how?, when?, or where? This function is called the adverbial function, and is realized not just by single words (i.e., adverbs) but by adverbial phrases and adverbial clauses. Adverbs also describe adjectives, verbs, and other adverbs. In this video, Santha A. Kumar explains about the adjectives and adverbs in English language.

This is a game that we played at my camping going away party where the group comes up with an adverb and then an individual who doesn't know what the adverb is has to create a scene in which the adverb is acted out in order that they might guess what the adverb is.

I Feel Good! Is That OK? Make Good an Adverb?
Author: Admin01 8th, 2009

What promises to be my least popular Vlog ever, I present to you with "Should We Make Good an Adverb?" This video might be controversial if you happen to be an English Teacher. I'm really selling you on this one. I debated even posted this video. I think it is either too long, or kind of stupid. Oh well, every video can't be a winner, especially when you are on a sworn November Silence. (I made a video called November Silence swearing off discussion of the presidential election results. Now that Barack Obama has won, I think it probably is less important that I remain silent, but I said I would and I've only got a couple of days to go.) I've already got topics for me next two videos and they are considerably better ideas than this one was. It is a Sunday afternoon, so maybe Sunday afternoon is a good time for "B material." Anyway, anyone who made it through to the end of this video is a true fan and I appreciate you. I'll try to avoid "Grammar Talk" in the future. Do we have a deal? Last summer I did an experiment with using the word "sex" in the title of videos, and it indeed did work for getting a lot of empty views. I was thinking about experimenting with titles to attempt getting the least number of views. This may just be part of that experiment... but I was really thinking if I really didn't want to get views, I would title the video something like "Lecture notes, Exam Review." Who in their right mind would watch something like that without getting units for it? On top of it, the thumbnail would have to be really dark, or otherwise some frame that is in now way recognizable as anything interesting what-so-ever. What the heck am I talking about? Maybe because this video is so boring, more people will read this description. I should share some spicy details here... I just can't think of any right now. That's it. Don't give up, don't unsubscribe... give me another chance! See you tomorrow? Thanks for reading. Read all you want, I'll write more.
