Here are some high notes from the classic AOR era of 76-83 (will it ever be retro?) except the biggest band of them all, journey (steve has his own video!). 1. Bobby Kimball from Toto sings a D5 from "good for you". 2. Kimball hits a E5 from "we made it". 3. Kimball hits a G5 from "you are the flower". 4. Kimball hits a A5(!) from "you are the flower". I´ve tried to stay away from falsetto notes here. 5. Dennis Deyoung sings a C#5 in mixed voice and then in a beautiful falsetto, from "don´t let it end". 6. Dennis sings a Eb5 from "high time". 7. Dennis hits a F5 from Mr Roboto, this is the live version found on "caught in the act". 8. In the studio version he touches on a F#5 and lands on a D#5. 9. Brad Delp (RIP dear man) sings a D5 to E5 from you all know which song! 10. Later in the song he does a D5-F#5-G5 climb but maybe he switches to falsetto on the F#. 11. Here he defintely does switch to falsetto early on, from a 77 bootleg I think. 12. An etheric and looong E5 from "Hollyann". 13. A strained F5 from "long time". 14. A sequence of a sung non-falsetto G5 then a falsetto A5 and a non-falsetto F#5, from "smokin´" 15. A nice G5 also from "smokin´". 16. Lou Gramm sings a long Eb5 from "angel with a dirty face". 17. Lou sings a long E5 from "Prisoner of love", a shame that the fading of the song had to start so early. 18. A great F5 from "waiting for a girl like you" from the live classics CD, much more powerful note than in the studio version. 19. Same goes for this F#5 from "I wanna know what love is" from the same CD. 20. A chesty E5 from "jukebox hero" followed by... 21. The ending with a short G5. Enjoy these classic FM singers!
