This is (unfortunately) an abridged version of THE FLIRT found on an old video cassette. Although I didn't remove any footage from this film I did take out a whole minute by just shortening the titles and intertitles. I then re-edited the music to fit the shorter length. Hope you enjoy!

Text Translation: The October Revolution in Petrograd began in the palace where the so-called Pre-Parliament created by Kerensky was housed. The sole defenders of the Provisional Government were the Junkers. The Junkers built log barricades to defend the palace. The center of the October-November Revolution in Petrograd was the Smolny Institute. Here were found the main leaders of the Revolution, including Trotsky, Lunacharsky, Kollontai and others. Troops headed from Smolny to Gatchina, where a battle was ongoing with adherents of Kerensky. Once the Kerensky rebellion in Petrograd was suppressed, a solemn funeral for the dead took place. Tens of thousands of proletarians took part in the procession.

The Minster choir (ao Ernest Pike ) , conducted by mr. Vivian Bennets sing: Stainer's "Sweet Christmas bell's", and Bridge (not Frank!) "Christmas bells". I loved this 78 rpm very much in my early teens, and played it a lot on my suitcase gramophone... The Gloster Aircraft Company, Limited, known locally as GAC, was a British aircraft manufacturer. The company produced a famous lineage of fighters for the Royal Air Force (RAF); the Grebe, Gladiator, Meteor and Javelin. It also produced the Hawker Hurricane and Hawker Typhoon for the parent company Hawker Siddeley. Gloster produced the first British gas turbine-powered aircraft: the E.28/39 and the first British (and only gas-turbine-powered Allied aircraft to see service in World War II) production jet fighter in the Meteor. Gloster's test runway became famous for the first flight of Sir Frank Whittle's turbojet in the E.28/39 aircraft. 1960s - demise In 1961, the company was merged with Sir W G Armstrong Whitworth Aircraft Limited to form Whitworth Gloster Aircraft Limited. Following another re-organisation, the firm became part of the Avro Whitworth Division of Hawker Siddeley Aviation in 1963, and the name Gloster disappeared as Hawker Siddeley rebranded its product line under its own name. The site at Brockworth was sold in 1964. The runway, while still visible from the air, has been partially obstructed by buildings on what is now the Gloucester Trading Estate. Many of the firms based on the estate are housed in former hangars.
