On the other end, content providers are paying for what they use too. What these companies want is to make it so that they can restrict what kind of traffic goes through the bandwidth that we've already paid for. In other words, even if you pay for 20Mb/s cable, depending on what website you visit, you might be restricted to 1Mb/s if that website can't afford the "big pipe".
